it's drizzling outside.
what a mood of utter melancholy.
kinda fits how i feel now.

so tonight was Nanyang's Dinner and Dance, though there was mighty little dancing, and not really much dinner actually, i dun even remember eating desert. by the time the desert came out everybody was out and about taking photographs and stuff, plus the lights were all dim and nobody could see nothin. what a waste. at least it wasn't buffet style like last year. Oh, and yay, there were free flow of drinks but the waiters kept takin our drinks away and switchin them before we could finish the current glass? must be some 'high class' practice.

t'was fun gettin ready though. jan and sara came over so we got ready togetha! =) Janice makes the most noise EVER and i just can't get the logic of using a hair straightener to curl your hair. it's just too much of an irony for me.

My full get-up

when we finally got round to leaving the house, Po was already there. haha. poor po. lucky she had her friend there. when we reached couldn't recognise her anyway. Po was purrtttyyy. =P The lobby was FULL of NY people. couldn't recognise half of them cos they all looked so different, most in a good way i guess. lotsa dyed hair and contact lenses and lots and lots of skin showin. O.o

Sook chan was blind and late. plus she had straight hair and plucked eyebrows! wooot!

Prom was at the marriot, the one next to tangs. It was pretty..though the school tricked us with the whole cocktails at 7 thing, when there were in fact NO cocktails, but just glasses of coke, sprite, or orange juice?!?!!?! how lame. it wouldn't do any harm if we were all a little drunk, it would've added to the 'fun factor'.

And suay as i am, was sufferin from sunburn when i went, thanks to aep chalet. Going to the beach is dangeroud please. cause the sun is so strong but u dun feel it cos of the sea breeze! sure it looks nice when u look like alobster fer a while, but then my face started to peel. so had to slap a ton of aloe vera and moisturiser on...sad. In addition to this suayness, the strap of my dress like broke...think i must have gotten fat since last year when i bought it. either that or i was laughin too hard. sigh.

Prom was fun. i kinda never realised that Prom would actually be the last time that i would feel like i'm still a part of Nyjc. Even though i dunt noe the bunch of the ppl there, it felt nice cos they were familiar. We shared lectures, assemblies, lunch breaks.

i'm gonna miss NY like crazy.
i already do.

felt really bummed as i watched u walk away, knowing i might never see u again

looked good with brown hair

kinda like an anime character..

haha.

LONDON

i must down to the seas again
to the lonely sea and sky
and all i ask
is a tall ship and star
to steer her by

talk to me.

i carry your heart.

e.e. cummings

i carry your heart with me
i carry it in my heart
i am never without it
anywhere i go you go,
my dear;
and whatever is done
by only me
is your doing,
my darling

i fear no fate
for you are my fate,
my sweet
i want no world
for beautiful you are my world,
my true
and it's you are
whatever a moon
has always meant
and whatever a sun
will always sing
is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
here is the root of the root
and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky
of a tree called life;
which grows higher
than the soul can hope
or mind can hide
and this is the wonder
that's keeping the stars apart.

i carry your heart
i carry it in my heart

here
there is love

Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.

It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.

love never fails
